The sister operation to Poppies Restaurant, Kopi Pot is a continental-style street side cafe in Balinese environment of gardens and grass rooted pavilions. Set back from the busy Legian street, Kopi Pot and stylish recently added Lone Palm Bar provides visitors with a quiet bird’s eye view of life in one of Kuta‘s busiest thoroughfares. Opened in 1990, Kopi Pot quickly established itself as a firm favourite with Bali visitors keen to sample their great coffee and home made cakes and desserts, which some say are the best in town. The menu quickly expanded to offer a large selection of international and Indonesian dishes drawing in the lunchtime crowds seeking a breather from the fuss of shopping and perusing the neighbouting boutiques.
Try the Javanese Tongseng Kambing (spicy lamb stew), the homemade soups (especially the Tom Yang Goong), Chilli Prawn Salad or if you’re feeling slightly more peckish the Seafood Skewers, Steak a la Maison or Pork Spare Ribs.
Those with a sweet tooth will have a field day with the dessert options: The Black Russian Pie, Lemon Meringue and Manggo Cream Cheesecake are all tantalising options.
